Strikwerda Investments

Our family office was founded in 2000 and is now in the capable hands of the second generation. We are entrepreneurial investors with patience. We believe in the power of the long-term and the ultimate partnerships with our co-shareholders, management, employees, and other stakeholders. Driven by our passion for entrepreneurship and our desire to get the best out of companies, we like helping our participations to grow and flourish. The highest returns or quick exits are not paramount. As we have the availability of permanent capital, we can take the time, together with the entrepreneurs and managers, to build the common goal: an enduring business. The trust that we give and receive, combined with our active involvement, has led to dozens of successful investments.

The evolution of Strikwerda Investments

Strikwerda Investments has gone through different phases of growth ever since the listing of the TAS group in the nineties. Read our story here.

1984 - 2000

Founded in 1984, the TAS Groep grew to a company of around 1200 employees in the eighties and nineties and entered the Amsterdam stock exchange in 1998. After the listing, the family office was extended, and we began a new phase as a professional investment company. This history and entrepreneurial attitude are deeply rooted in our DNA.

2000 - 2006

During its first years, Strikwerda Investments has undertaken a series of successful ventures into diverse markets. We realized several successful exits within the Food, FMCG, Aviation and IT markets, such as Klene, KB de kaassoufflé, Royal Sanders, Altenrhein airport, FFA Aircraft Maintenance and TAS.

2006 - present

Strikwerda Investments has acquired a lot of know-how on entrepreneurship resulting from the family business and IT service provider TAS. In 2006, we started an investment strategy that focused on the acquisition and expansion of software companies with solutions for specific markets. By being involved actively and co-building these companies in a decentralized model, sharing best practices and reinvesting cash flows, the company Total Specific Solutions (TSS) arisen: a holding company of dozens of individual technology companies. We continue to develop the platform philosophy which enables us to invest in new platforms for the long-term and with our full involvement. Examples are Total Specific Hosting (TSH) and Total Webhosting Solutions (TWS).
